He went on to complete his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Grand Canyon University, and later advanced his career by earning his Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University in 2016, becoming a board-certified nurse practitioner. In 2021, he completed his doctorate in nursing from the University of Florida.

Professional Experience

Dennis is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and has devoted much of his career to caring for the elderly population in his community. Since joining Advanced Behavioral Health Center, he has broadened his scope of practice to include patients age 10 and up, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns with compassion and clinical expertise.

Approach to Care

Dennis Cutter is a kind, compassionate, and proudly nerdy psychiatric nurse practitioner who believes in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. With a strong foundation in evidence-based medication management, Dennis combines clinical expertise with a genuine passion for helping others feel seen, heard, and understood.

He approaches mental health care as a partnership, emphasizing personal accountability, lifestyle choices, and open dialogue alongside thoughtful medication strategies. Whether working with teens, adults, or seniors, Dennis meets each patient where they are, creating a safe and supportive space to navigate life's challenges.

Patient-First Philosophy

Known for his down-to-earth style and patient-first philosophy, Dennis takes time to explain the 'why' behind every treatment decision, often drawing on his love of science, psychology, and the occasional pop culture reference to make complex concepts more relatable.
